    A hundred new locomotives and 900 new container wagons


    The Deputy Prime Minister's among government ministers at Wellington Railway Station this morning, unveiling more details of its billion dollar investment in KiwiRail announced in the Budget.

    Winston Peters says part of the funding package will go on replacing the tired and worn-out 50 year old locomotives in the South Island.

    And the current 900 flat-top container wagons will be replaced with new, larger ones on the busiest freight corridors.
