Auckland Council is waiting to hear the results of investigations into the death of a man riding an e-scooter

Auckland Council is waiting to hear the results of investigations into the death of a man riding an e-scooter

The 59-year-old was found dead on the pavement on Fanshawe Street just before 10 last night.

Regulatory Services director Craig Hobbs says the Council's saddened by the death - and have been in touch with police and the e-scooter operators.

He says while investigations are under way, the Council can't comment any further.
