Calls for clarity on how international students will be included in the new polytechnic reforms

Calls for clarity on how international students will be included in the new polytechnic reforms

The Government has proposed to merge all 16 existing polytechs into a single New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology.

National claims they were leaked the Cabinet document outlining the reforms, where barely three sentences were given to international students.

National's Tertiary Education spokesperson Dr Shane Reti says the sector needs to know how these students will be included.

He says the international market needs certainty as soon as possible.
