A report on the death of a 75-year-old Christchurch man in the February 2011 earthquake has been released today.
Coroner Gordon Matenga found Henry Bush was crushed to death in his car outside the Riccarton Road Night and Day dairy - when a brick facade collapsed in the earthquake.
A copy of the findings are being sent to Parliament's transport and infrastructure committee - who are considering the Building Amendment Bill.
Matenga recommends damaged building owners need detailed engineering assessments before letting the public back in.
