Two men have appeared in the Tauranga District Court after being arrested for importing and possessing 25 kilograms of ephedrine

It's estimated it could have produced nearly 19 kilograms of methamphetamine, worth around 9.38 million.
Customs officers at the Port of Tauranga yesterday searched a 33-year-old foreign national and the logging vessel he arrived on last Friday - finding a total of 13 kilograms.
Investigations led to a second foreign national who was arrested in Tauranga with a further 12 kilograms.
Both men have been remanded in custody to appear on July 30.
