The Warriors have recalled Issac Luke to their starting side for the first time since last month's loss to Melbourne

Luke has played twice off the bench since, in between being dumped for the loss to the Panthers at home.

His inclusion for Saturday's NRL match against the Broncos in Brisbane comes with starting hooker Karl Lawton out with a shoulder injury.

Coach Stephen Kearney is optimistic and says he should be okay for next week.

The other change to the 17 that beat the Knights is the return of rookie playmaker Chanel Harris-Tavita to the interchange.

Centre Peta Hiku is undergoing the concussion protocol.
