Police describe recent drug bust as major blow to Kiwi meth market
Police have described a recent drug bust ... as a blow to the Kiwi meth market
9 August 2019
Two hundred kilos of methamphetamine worth close to 144-million-dollars has been seized from an Auckland apartment.
Two British nationals have been charged with drug offences after the Organised Crime Group carried out a raid - as part of an operation targeting an overseas criminal organisation.
It's estimated the meth seized is the equivalent to four months' consumption in this country.
The bust follows the discovery of more than 3-million dollars of cocaine - which washed up on Bethells Beach earlier this week.
