New Zealand's measles status could threaten other Pacific nations

The World Health Organisation ruled measles and rubella as being eliminated from New Zealand in 2017.
But at a meeting last month, it warned that elimination status is at risk.
It's the result of low immunity rates in some population groups and measles coming into New Zealand from overseas.
The 350 cases of measles reported so far in 2019 have stemmed from travellers bringing the disease from overseas.
