Wild weather has prompted a warning to Auckland motorists

Wild weather has prompted a warning to Auckland motorists

Those using the city's Harbour Bridge are being urged to slow down due to strong wind gusts.

50 lightning strikes and a deluge of heavy rain have also been reported around the city this afternoon.

And there's plenty more on the way... MetService says rain, gale force winds and thunderstorms will continue through to tomorrow morning.
