Road advocates appealing to government to change priorities following rapid transit plans change
Road advocates are appealing to the government to change its priorities - now that rapid transit in Auckland's being bumped back
23 August 2019
Auckland's light rail project is years behind schedule - with construction on it likely to start after next year's election.
AA spokesman Barney Irvine says there are a number of upgrades needed on roads all around the North Island - and what's holding them back is a lack of money.
He says the big reason for that lack of money - is because so much of the budget has been put aside for rapid transit.
