    Scott Dixon's Indycar championship hopes have evaporated in an instant at the penultimate race of the season in Portland


    The kiwi driver, sitting fourth on the standings and needing to likely win both races to retain his crown, suffered a battery failure midway through the race while in the lead.

    Dixon explains what went wrong.
