Tears in the public gallery as the man accused of murdering Lois Tolley has appeared in court

Tears in the public gallery as the man accused of murdering Lois Tolley has appeared in court

Tolley was killed in an execution-style killing in her home in December 2016.

The 27-year-old charged with her murder did not enter a plea at the Hutt Valley District Court.

NZME reporter Melissa Nightingale says he was remanded with interim name suppression.

She says as he left, members of the public swore and yelled - then left the courtroom sobbing.
