Co-captain Boyd Cordner sent a scare through the Roosters camp, limping off with a quad issue six minutes before halftime in the 30-6 NRL qualifying final defeat of South Sydney.
Cordner played down the complaint post-game and his side now get a week off before the grand final qualifier.
South Sydney have to rally for an elimination game next week and coach Wayne Bennett says they can take some confidence after winning the second half.
He says it was really important they salvaged what they could out of the contest.
