    Gang member to appear in Hastings District Court after loaded shotgun allegedly found under bed

    A gang member is set to appear in Hastings District Court today after Police allegedly found a loaded shotgun under a bed in a house where a five year old was living


    The Mongrel Mob Redcoats member is charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and possessing cannabis and utensils.

    Police were called to a family harm incident yesterday where they allegedly made the discovery.

    Detective Senior Sergeant Dave De Lange says it was extremely concerning young children were living in situations with loaded firearms easily accessible.
