Briscoe Group boss Rod Duke says low consumer confidence is causing some issues

Briscoe Group boss Rod Duke says low consumer confidence is causing some issues

The group owns Briscoes, Rebel Sport and Living and Giving.

It's reporting a profit of just over 28 million for the first half of the year, down three per cent on the same period last year.

Duke says falling consumer confidence contributed to that.

He says when you get periods like this, the focus is simply on getting as many people through the store as possible.
