The managers of Mt Ruapehu's skifields are confident of making up for lost time

The managers of Mt Ruapehu's skifields are confident of making up for lost time

Whakapapa and Turoa fields both had late openings due to a lack of snow, followed by sudden heavy falls resulting in avalanche concerns.

Whakapapa General Manager Jono Dean says the weather's finally started to come right.

He says it's been a tough start to the season, but he believes they'll recover from the lost days.
