Former All Blacks doctor left perplexed by Sam Cane's World Cup opener head injury assessment

Former All Blacks doctor John Mayhew's been left perplexed by Sam Cane's head injury assessment in New Zealand's rugby World Cup opener

Cane wasn't allowed to return to the field in the win over South Africa.

He passed the concussion test, but was deemed to have exceeded the time limit around the HIA protocol.

World Rugby's since changed the process, and Mayhew's given his own assessment.
