New Zealand's three million dollar baby has spoken out about her abduction for the first time
6 October 2019
In 2002, eight-month-old Kahu Piripi was snatched out of her adopted mother's pram on a Lower Hutt street.
Terence Ward Traynor put up a ransom of three million dollars... but the baby was found eight days later by police in Taumaranui.
Now 18-years-old and living in rural Rotorua, Piripi says she doesn't think about the man who kidnapped her.
She says she holds nothing against her kidnapper's family, and she thanks them for their apologies.
