A student who was at the overcrowded party in Dunedin where a teen died, has described the "human wall" inside the flat

19-year-old Sophia Crestani died at the party on Dundas Street on Saturday night.

The girl, who did not want to be named, says she was making her way to the stairs when she saw people sliding down on top of other people.

She says other people were jumping down from an inside balcony above the stairs onto other students.

She says there were many people piled up on the floor on top of each other.
