Climate protestors in Wellington are cheering every time one of them is taken away by police

Climate protestors in Wellington are cheering every time one of them is taken away by police

Extinction Rebellion has blocked the intersection by Lambton Quay outside parliament after a day of disruption in the capital.

The circle they've formed on the road has shrunk in size as police take them away and put them into the back of vans.

Some city-bound buses have been allowed through the intersection but many are still ground to a halt.
