Police are continuing to treat an Auckland woman's death as unexplained, after her body was found in her home yesterday

Her grieving family believe the 82-year-old Avondale woman may have had a heart attack after thieves broke into her home.

Police say they don't have evidence linking the burglary to the death .. but they are keeping an open mind.

Officers say they're waiting for the results of a post-mortem, expected to be carried out tomorrow.
