New research suggests the treatment for ovarian cancer hasn't improved in the last decade

New research suggests the treatment for ovarian cancer hasn't improved in the last decade

The average survival rate for those with advanced ovarian cancer remains at about five years.

Co-author of the study, Associate Professor Peter Sykes, says New Zealand's survival rates were on par with other countries in the early 2000s.

He says survival figures aren't particularly bad internationally, and are much the same as the UK, but it's disappointing to see outcomes falling behind.
