    A vegetarian delight, as the price of carrots hits a seven-year low


    Stats NZ says prices for capsicums, tomatoes, and cucumbers are also falling sharply as spring arrives.

    JMI Wealth director Andrew Kelleher says it's offset by meat, poultry and fish rising 5.3 percent.

    He says overall food prices are up 2.2 percent in the year to the end of September.
