The markets have been given a boost by a partial trade deal between China and the United States

The Dow, S&P 500 and the German index are all up.

JMI Wealth director Andrew Kelleher says a deal's been made on intellectual property, financial services and large agricultural purchases.

On Twitter, US President Donald Trump says the agreement with China is by far the greatest and biggest ever made for American farmers, in the history of the United States.
