Australian all-rounder Mitch Marsh is in doubt for the first cricket test of the home summer after scans confirmed he broke his hand punching a dressing-room wall

He injured the mitt after getting frustrated when he was dismissed for 53 in Western Australia's drawn Sheffield Shield match with Tasmania in Perth.

Marsh will be sidelined for several weeks.

The opening test against Pakistan starts November 21 in Brisbane.
