Scott McLaughlin's Bathurst win will stand, but his team's been less fortunate in their punishment

Scott McLaughlin's Bathurst win will stand, but his team's been less fortunate in their punishment

The Kiwi's win was in doubt after it was alleged his DJR Team Penske teammate Fabian Coulthard slowed after a safety car was called with 25 laps remaining, allowing McLaughlin to extend his advantage.

Supercars officials have declared McLaughlin the winner, however Coulthard and co-driver Tony D'Alberto have been relegated from sixth to 21st in the overall standings.

They've also copped a $250,000 fine, though 100 grand of it has been suspended until the end of 2021.

Penske's also lost 300 teams' championship points, but still holds a 423 point lead.
