    Five people have been injured in a crash in the Marlborough Sounds


    A Coastguard vessel transported St John paramedics to Big Bay, near Furneaux Lodge late last night, where an off-road vehicle had rolled on a track.

    Helicopters from Wellington and Nelson were also sent to the scene.

    Two patients with minor injuries were taken to Wairau Hospital in Blenheim, two with moderate injuries to Nelson and one person was taken to Wellington Hospital in a serious condition.

    Police were also notified.
