    Rescue teams will this morning resume their attempt to recover the body of a second climber, who died on the Remarkables near Queenstown yesterday


    Two men, roped together, fell to their deaths yesterday whilst trekking the Grand Traverse route in a party led by Wanaka-based company Aspiring Guides.

    The party was near Lake Alta, which is near Double Cone on the Remarkables mountain range, and Police were called to assist just before midday.

    One of the bodies was retrieved, but the recovery effort was then called off around 5pm to begin again today .

    Worksafe is investigating the accident
