A woman has been found dead in floodwaters after severe storms brought torrential rain to central and northern England

An extensive rescue operation was launched after the woman was swept away in Derbyshire, involving a police helicopter and Coastguard, but her body was found near a stretch of river.
Dozens of people were trapped in a shopping centre in the northern city of Sheffield overnight after becoming stranded by rising waters.
About 100 others were rescued from a nearby mall by firefighters in dinghies.
