Wellington Phoenix coach Ufuk Talay's doing his best to keep VAR out of his mind, ahead of their A-League match against Melbourne Victory tonight

Wellington Phoenix coach Ufuk Talay's doing his best to keep VAR out of his mind, ahead of their A-League match against Melbourne Victory tonight

The 'Nix conceded a controversial penalty in their 3-2 defeat to Melbourne City last week for a handball against defender Louis Fenton, one that appeared to hit his chest first.

Talay says it's one of those situations they can't dwell on.

Kick off from Melbourne's at 6pm.

In team news striker Gary Hooper's a late scratch with a quad injury.

He's been replaced by Sam Sutton.
