Damien O'Connor doesn't agree with Shane Jones that protesting farmers are red necks

Damien O'Connor doesn't agree with Shane Jones that protesting farmers are red necks

The Regional Economic Development Minister gave that label to hundreds who came to Parliament today, with lobby group 50 Shades of Green.

Agriculture Minister O'Connor was booed by the crowd - but his opinion doesn't match Jones'.

He says people make a huge effort to come to Parliament, they want to unload their views and don't necessarily come to listen - and that's part of protest.
