New Zealand pace bowler Neil Wagner plans to use any local knowledge he's gleaned, if he marks his run up against England at Mt Maunganui this week

He's in a five-way duel for three test spots with Trent Boult, Tim Southee, Matt Henry and Lockie Ferguson also in selection contention.

The test specialist joined Northern Districts last summer from Otago and recently played a Plunket Shield match at Bay Oval.

    Wagner describes what to expect.
