Economists are baffled at a recommendation to move Auckland's port to Northland

Economists are baffled at a recommendation to move Auckland's port to Northland

Ports of Auckland has major concerns with the initial EY report and commissioned the NZIER to review it.

It says EY previously ranked the Northland port as 12th out of 14 port options.

NZIER chief executive Laurence Kubiak says there are glaring holes in the report.
