The stepbrother of Grace Millane's murderer says the guilty verdict - and hearing the gruesome details of her death - have been "incredibly hard" for the family

The stepbrother of Grace Millane's murderer says the guilty verdict - and hearing the gruesome details of her death - have been "incredibly hard" for the family

A jury deliberated for around five hours before finding the 27-year-old man guilty of murdering the British backpacker in his Auckland apartment in December last year.

The killer's stepbrother says it's been hard for his family to come to terms with the enormity of everything... and the trial has been very divisive.

He says he shed a few tears upon hearing the verdict but is glad for Grace's family.
