From skiing to summer sun - Coronet Peak is ready to take visitors up the mountain on its new eight-seater gondola cabins

From skiing to summer sun - Coronet Peak is ready to take visitors up the mountain on its new eight-seater gondola cabins

As of today, from 11am daily, guests can ride the gondola up to one-thousand-649 metres for one of the best views in the Wakatipu.

Mountain bikers are also able to take their bikes up via chairlift.

Coronet Peak Manager Nigel Kerr says the Telemix gondola/chairlift was chosen to be able to offer visitors to the mountain experiences in both winter and summer.

He says usually to get these types of views, people would need to hike for several hours.
