Armed police response teams aren't a precursor to arming the police ... if Jacinda Ardern has her way
3 December 2019
The Prime Minister says police will report back to Government on the trial of response teams.
But she says she's opposed to it going any further.
Ardern says she's always been clear on the issue.
She's always been opposed to the general arming for the police and she says that comes from the daughter of a police officer.
Arming police isn't up to the Government - the decision's the responsibility of the Police Commissioner.
