A lawyer's downplaying concerns about people turning up for work stoned if cannabis is legalised

A lawyer's downplaying concerns about people turning up for work stoned if cannabis is legalised

A draft bill has been released, ahead of next year's referendum.

People would be able to buy 14 grams a day if they're over 20, but wouldn't be able to smoke it in public.

Criminal barrister and former drug squad detective Tony Bouchier says he doesn't think legalising the drug will cause issues in workplaces.

He says if there was a problem in the past, there'll be a problem in the future but says there have only been isolated incidents.
