Unregistered raw milk sellers are being called out for their dangerous practice

Unregistered raw milk sellers are being called out for their dangerous practice

The Ministry for Primary Industries has launched coordinated raids on eight businesses... after people started getting sick from their unpasteurised milk, which can contain dangerous bacteria.

Food compliance manager Melinda Sando says drinking unpasteurised milk is never fully safe, but New Zealand's 24 registered sellers take steps to minimise the risk.

She says that includes regular testing, and proper cleaning procedures.
