A couple of Kiwis will have to contend with some Presidents Cup golfers at this week's Australian Open

With the biennial event in Melbourne starting next week, International captain Ernie Els has pushed for some of his players to get used to the Aussie conditions and style of golf.

That will see a handful line up against the likes of New Zealand's Ryan Fox and Daniel Hillier in Sydney.

Fox says that makes it even tougher.

    Action gets underway this morning.
