Promises results aren't far away - from an independent investigation into the death of a University of Canterbury student

Promises results aren't far away - from an independent investigation into the death of a University of Canterbury student

The coroner's ruled 19-year-old Mason Pendrous lay dead for up to a month before his body was discovered in his room at Ilam's Sonoda Residential halls on September 23.

Former High Court Judge, the Honourable Kit Toogood, has completed the investigation, but is waiting on the Coroner's findings on the student's death.

He says he also has to consult the university and Pendrous family - before reporting his final findings and recommendations.
