    February 15th at Eden Park could be a pivotal day for the venue's future as a football stadium


    The Wellington Phoenix host Melbourne City with the club evaluating the benefits of staging games in Auckland after a dismal turnout on Saturday.

    Just eight thousand fans watched the 2-1 win over Western United, a third straight win for the A-League club.

    Club General Manager David Dome says a poor start to the season could have impacted ticket sales.



    Meanwhile defender Louis Fenton will be sidelined for the remainder of the season following shoulder surgery.
