A win, but a far from perfect performance from the Wellington Phoenix

They've extended their unbeaten run to eight games in football's A-League, with a 2-1 victory over the Central Coast Mariners in the capital.

The 'Nix were forced to defend for the majority of the second half as the Mariners searched for an equalising goal.

Coach Ufuk Talay assesses the performance.

S6ydney FC have beaten Adelaide 2-1.
