Media analytics company Comscore reports that the global cinematic box office in 2019 ended with US 42.5 billion dollars - an all-time high.
While the US box office dipped to 11 billion, the international box office earned over 31 billion, the first time it has ever surpassed the 30 billion mark.
Disney releases such as Avengers: Endgame and The Lion King helped fuel the massive figure - the studio became the first to ever gross 10 billion dollars in one year.
