Kiwis and North Queensland utility Te Maire Martin has been forced into an early retirement

Kiwis and North Queensland utility Te Maire Martin has been forced into an early retirement

    - article from www.rugbyleague.co.nz

The 24-year-old suffered a bleed on the brain last April, from which he hasn't fully recovered.

Martin says his day-to-day life isn't affected, but he can't get past the contact stage of training, meaning he can't play rugby league anymore.

He played four tests for the Kiwis and 62 times in the NRL.
