An Auckland paramedic was kicked unconscious in what is being described as a 'despicable' attack

An Auckland paramedic was kicked unconscious in what is being described as a 'despicable' attack

The woman was returning from treating a patient on Sunday night, when she disturbed an intruder at the St John station in Warkworth.

The attacker has yet to be found, and police are urging the public for more information.

New Zealand First MP Darroch Ball is behind a bill to provide better protection for frontline emergency staff.

He says violence towards people in uniform has drastically increased over the past few years.
