South African great AB de Villiers confirms intention to come out of international retirement for Twenty20 World Cup
South African great AB de Villiers has confirmed his intention to come out of international retirement for this year's Twenty20 World Cup in Australia
15 January 2020
The 35-year-old retired from internationals in 2018, but was then overlooked after making himself available for last year's 50-over World Cup in England.
De Villiers, currently playing with Brisbane in the Big Bash League, says he still has a desire to play for his country and the arrival of former teammate Mark Boucher as coach might help it happen.
