    Police have released the name of an elderly Queenstown woman who died in a crash yesterday


    She was 84-year-old Noelene Margaret Tait.

    The crash on Frankton Rd yesterday afternoon involved two cars and a motorcyclist.

    A 29-year-old tourist will appear in Queenstown District Court on Monday - charged with careless driving causing death, and injury.

    Police say the arrested driver's car crossed the centre line, head-on into the second vehicle and motorcyclist.

    Two others were also injured.
