    White Ferns batswoman Suzie Bates it's just happy to get the silver fern across her chest once again


    New Zealand last played an international in March last year, with the team since changing captain and coach.

    Bates says the team is desperate to play together again.



    The White Ferns kick off their international summer with a one-day international against South Africa at Eden Park outer oval on Saturday.
