Anton Cooper wants Cycling New Zealand to offer more clarity around mountain biking's Olympic qualification process

Anton Cooper wants Cycling New Zealand to offer more clarity around mountain biking's Olympic qualification process

Just one spot will be available for Cooper or Commonwealth Games champion Sam Gaze after injuries to the latter prevented a second Tokyo berth from being secured.

Cooper says major events over last year and the next few months were supposed to decide attendance, but now he's not sure what's required.

He says it's been changed to give Gaze a chance.

The pair will compete at the Oceania championships in Dunedin from 3pm, and again in the national championships on Sunday.
