Central Otago Police are taking immediate action to reduce the number of road deaths

The Rental Vehicles Public Forum was held in Queenstown last night to address community concern over inexperienced or unsuitable rental car drivers.
Panellists includes police, NZTA representatives, and the mayor.
Meeting organiser, Peter Newport, says it's reassuring to know the police are taking the issue seriously.
He says they've already put more patrols on the roads and announced stiffer penalties for all drivers.
